Former chief minister of Bihar Jitan Ram Manjhi will observe a day-long fast here at Gandhi Maidan on Monday to protest against the Nitish government’s decision to annul 34 decisions taken by his Cabinet.

“I along with my eight colleagues, who were part of my Cabinet, and other followers will observe protest fast on March 9 at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi,” said Manjhi.

“I had taken these decisions in the interest of poor and down-trodden sections of the society. But Nitish Kumar, out of vendetta, annulled them saying that it was a decision taken by a minority government.

If this is the criteria, then Nitish is also running a minority government as he has not proved his majority in the House so far,” said Manjhi and asked his successor to first win the trust vote and then review the Cabinet decisions.
