Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will Tuesday share the stage here with Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who is the BJP's prime ministerial candidate for 2014 polls.

The prime minister is scheduled to inaugurate a museum dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's life in Ahmedabad Tuesday evening.

The invitation card of the function says that the prime minister will be the chief guest and the Gujarat chief minister will be the special guest.

The event organised by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Memorial Society  will also be attended by Gujarat Governor Kamla Beniwal and union Minister of State for Mines Dinsha Patel.

Modi, who has been criticising Congress for ignoring Sardar Patel's legacy, will lay the foundation stone for Patel's prposed 182-metre tall statue Oct 31, the 138th birth anniversary of the 'Iron Man'.

Named the Statue of Unity, it will be installed in the middle of the Narmada riverbed facing the Sardar Sarovar Dam.
