The Mexico Navy Ship ARM Cuauhtemoc is currently visiting Mumbai. She is commanded by Captain Rafael Antonio Lagunes Arteaga and has a complement of 184 personnel (40 officers, 13 petty officers and 131 sailors).

The ship was received with traditional fanfare and in accordance with Naval Customs. The Commanding Officer thanked the Indian Navy for the extended search, by Naval Aircraft P8I and IN Ships Teg and Mysore, for missing cadet who had fallen over board.

During the visit, Captain Rafael Antonio Lagunes Arteaga is scheduled to call on Rear Admiral RB Pandit, NM, Flag Officer Commanding Western Fleet. The crew of the ARM Cuauhtemoc will also visit Indian Naval Ship INS Mumbai. Professional Sports and social events/ Interactions are being organised for the crew of the ARM Cuauhtemoc during her stay at Mumbai.

The ARM Cuauhtemoc last visited Mumbai in July 2002.
