Mysuru: Man injured in elephant attack

A 26-year-old tribal man was attacked and injured by a wild elephant at Balle hamlet in the taluk.

The injured person has been identified as Shivu. According to the sources, the elephant attacked Shivu when he was fishing at Kabini backwaters, adjacent to the hamlet. The elephant attacked him from behind.

Following first aid at a local hospital, he was shifted to a hospital in Mysuru.
