Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday charged that the NITI Aayog had failed miserably in promoting federal spirit.

Addressing a media conference late Monday evening at the party headquarters, KCR said NITI Aayog could not decentralise the administration.

“The full form of NITI Aayog is National Institute for Transforming India. But, it has not brought any transformation in the country,” KCR said. He also commented that the BJP had failed in delivering. “After seeing it for four-and-a-half years, I am saying this. They (BJP) have not done anything great,” said KCR,

No alliance

Giving details of the party executive committee meeting and the nine resolutions passed, KCR declared that his Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Party would not have an alliance with any party in the state. “Ours is a 100% secular party and will continue to remain so,” he asserted, spiking speculation about an alliance with the BJP.

He declared that he would announce the list of party candidates for the 2019 general elections in September. On September 2, KCR will also be organising a public meeting to present “Progress report” of his four-year governance in the newly formed state.
