The Gujarat government on Sunday said there was no need to worry on the findings of World Health Organisation (WHO) confirming country’s first cases of mosquito-borne Zika virus in the state.

The WHO report on late Saturday stated that three persons, including a pregnant woman, were found to be infected with Zika virus in Ahmedabad. The cases were reported from Bapunagar area, the industrial suburb of the city.

The first infection was detected in February last year, with second one in November and the latest one in January this year. The patients were a 64-year-old man, a 34-year-old woman and a 22-year-old pregnant woman.
