Commerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu praised the Modi Government for note ban and claimed that reduction in incidences of stone pelting, protests in Jammu and Kashmir and naxal activities in several parts of the country are the result of demonitisation.

While celebrating the first anniversary of note ban, Prabhu called it as one of the crucial decisions of the government against illegal wealth. The historic move delivered positive results and it was a severe blow to the black money.

While speaking at the party headquarters in Jaipur on Wednesday, Prabhu said that the country is progressing towards a digital economy.
