Parliament saw relatively smooth sailing today with farmers' issues being discussed. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav took the chance to slam the Yogi govt over the Maha Kumbh stampede. Central schemes not delivering results: Arvind Sawant in Lok Sabha
Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Arvind Sawant on Monday said government schemes are not delivering positive results, saying there is always a gap between the Centre's words and deeds.

"Pakka ghar, har ghar jal...kahan hai, kab hoga? (where are the pucca houses and water connection for all, when will it happen?)," Sawant said criticising the PM Awas Yojana and Jal Jeevan Mission during the debate on the Motion of Thanks on the President's Address in Lok Sabha.

BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad told the Lok Sabha on Monday that the ruling party smells a conspiracy behind the Maha Kumbh stampede and those responsible for it will have to hang their heads in shame once the probe is over.
Participating in a debate on the Motion of Thanks on the president's address, the MP from Bihar's Patna Sahib said 35 crore people have so far taken a holy dip at the Maha Kumbh.
"There was a tragedy at the Maha Kumbh.... An investigation is underway. We do smell a conspiracy there.... When the entire investigation is complete, those behind the incident will have to hang their heads in shame," the former Union minister said.
BJP MPs file privilege notice against Sonia Gandhi over remarks on President
A group of BJP MPs from the tribal community filed a breach of privilege notice on Monday against Congress parliamentary party leader Sonia Gandhi for using "derogatory and slanderous" words against President Droupadi Murmu.
Led by BJP leader and former union minister Faggan Singh Kulaste, they met Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar and sought disciplinary action against Gandhi, contending her remarks lowered the dignity of the office of the President.
