After the House was adjourned, we went to the Chairman and requested him to revoke this suspension... Even during the BAC meeting, we all walked out as we were not being heard at all. The Chairman should talk to the MPs. and have healthy discussions," said AAP MP Raghav Chadha to news agency ANI.

"The 3rd day of Monsoon session of Parliament begins today. INDIA's demand is straightforward. PM should make a comptehensive statement on the horrific post-May 3 developments in Manipur, after which a discussion would take place to express our collective sense of pain, anguish and desire for reconciliation, " said the Congress spokesperson.

He further added that the PM "denies, distorts, diverts, deflects and defames" in order to avoid responsibility.

AAP MP Raghav Chadha, in an interview with news agency PTI, has askedwhether President's rule is not being imposed in Manipur only because there is a BJP government in the state.

Opposition MPs have started their protests at the Parliament where they are demanding PM Modi's statement regarding the Manipur situation

Violence began in the northeastern state on May 3, and since then Modi has only spoken once regarding the issue — onthe first day when the Monsoon Session of the Parliament began — that too not within the House but to a section of the media. He did not take any questions from the media on Manipur as well.
