1.63 lakh Indians relinquish Indian citizenship in 2021, over 78,000settled in USA, according to a written reply in Lok Sabha.
As many as 39 new multi-state cooperative societies have been registered since the formation of a separate cooperation ministry in July 2021, Union minister Amit Shah informed Parliament on Tuesday.
Out of 39 cooperative societies, a maximum of 17 are in Maharashtra, followed by Uttar Pradesh (5), Kerala (4), Gujarat (3), New Delhi and Manipur (2 each) and Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh (1 each), according to the data placed before the Lok Sabha.(PTI)
The Opposition's vice president candidate Margaret Alva on Tuesday said elections do not frighten her as winning and losing is a part of life but the trust of Parliamentarians across parties will help her bring people together and build a strong and united India.

The Opposition has given notice in both the House of Parliament on the GST rate hike and the Agnipath scheme.
Congress MP Manickam Tagore gave the adjournment notice in the Lok Sabha. "To discuss the imposing levy of 5 per cent GST on essential commodities which would affect every common citizen, especially the poor and to direct the Government to withdraw the decision of levying GST from essential commodities," it said.
Congress will hold a protest on Monday in Parliament premises on the issue of GST, price rise and Agnipath scheme.
The protest will be held near Gandhi statue inside the premises.
On Monday, both the Houses could not function amid the demand for discussion on price rise and GST.
Several girls, who appeared for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for undergraduate programme on Sunday, at a centre in Kerala’s Kollam district were allegedly asked by the authorities to remove their innerwear, apparently because there were metal hooks in them.
The father of one of the girls, lodged a police complaint alleging that the NEET norms did not mention any such restriction, and that his daughter underwent severe mental trauma because of the incident.

The Monsoon session of Parliament got off to a stormy start on Monday leading to adjournment of the two Houses without transacting much business following an opposition uproar over issues ranging from price rise to the Agnipath scheme.
The uproar broke out even as Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged MPs before the start of the parliamentary proceedings to make the session as productive as possible and called for debate, criticism and analysis for positive contribution to policies and decisions. In a lighter vein, he remarked that in Delhi rains have begun, but the heat outside is not reducing and wondered whether the heat will come down inside Parliament.
The Centre should accept the long-pending demand to recognise 'Sarna' as the religion of the country's tribal people as they have their own way of worship and religious practices, the JMM's newly elected Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji said on Monday.
Speaking to PTI, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader, who took oath as the Member of Parliament in the Upper House on the first day of the Monsoon Session, said she will use the platform to raise the voice of the people of her state and also press the government for giving recognition to 'Sarna Dharma Code'.
