Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar inaugurated a week-long cultural extravaganza, Bharat Parv, at the Rajpath Lawns, wishing for a “grand success” of the mega event, organised to “generate a patriotic mood.”

“Our message is that India is one nation. We have to preserve the rich cultural heritage of our ancestors because the Indian culture is one of the oldest in the world. We have to recall the great memories of all our freedom fighters,” Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said while speaking at the inaugural function.

Parrikar lauded the Tourism Ministry for organising “such a unique programme” showcasing the ‘unity in diversity’ of India.
