Seven persons were killed by the ultras of banned People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) in Gumla district this evening.

Superintendent of Police Bhimsen Tuti said the ultras were waiting for a car near Rewada jungle under Kamdara police station and when it came, they gunned down its seven occupants.

The four-wheeler was then burnt by the extremists, a splinter group of the CPI-Maoist, Tutri said, adding details were awaited.
