Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday reviewed the progress of infrastructure projects in road, railways, coal, power and renewable energy sectors in the country and asked officials to expedite their completion.

The projects reviewed in the day included Mizoram, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chandigarh and Delhi.

He also took stock of the redevelopment projects of railway stations and asked chief secretaries of the states to work towards at least one such redevelopment project in each state.

He said such redeveloped railway stations would become iconic structures and centres of economic activity.

Besides, Modi reviewed the scheme for the upgrade of campuses of National Institutes of Fashion Technology (NIFTs) and programmes for elimination of Kala Azar.

These projects were reviewed through Pragati (Pro-Active Governance And Timely Implementation).
