Senior advocate Anand Grover, who was appointed special public prosecutor in the 2G case, on Wednesday submitted his report in the Supreme Court on the controversy arising out of CBI Director Ranjit Sinha’s frequent meetings with the accused based on a purported visitors’ diary of his residence.

Appearing before a bench headed by Chief Justice H L Dattu, Grover submitted that two reports including one in a sealed envelope have been filed in the court.

Hearing NGO CPIL’s plea for recall of order to reveal the name of whistleblower on Sinha’s alleged visitors’ register, the apex court had on September 22 sought the assistance of the prosecutor, appointed by it for trial in 2G cases, saying that any order passed by it may have ramifications on multi-crore scam cases.
