A classic example of leadership has emerged from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, the home state  of PM Narendra Modi. Sixty- year-old Manjula Vaghela, a rag picker in the 1980's, now leads a cleaners' cooperative which has reached a turnover of Rs 1 crore.

Under her leadership , Shri Saundarya Safai cooperative society with around 400 women offers commercial cleaning services, reports The Times Of India.

These  women are trained in handling modern cleaning equipment.

The aim of the society is to make  illiterate women tech-savvy as now a days tenders are issued online.
