Railways starts emergency office at Thiruvananthapuram

Ahamed said that the railways had started an emergency office at Thiruvananthapuram, to help the sabarimala pilgrims who had involved in the unfortunate stampede.

It would also start emergency cells   at Kottayam and Chengannur railway stations, he said.
Railways would provide all help for the stranded Ayyappa pilgrims at various railway stations and would run special trains to help the pilgrims, he said.

At least 104 Sabarimala pilgrims were killed and 50 others injured in the stampede that ocurred last night at Pullumedu in Kerala's Idukki district.
