Amidst confusions, likes and dislikes surrounding the new tax system, here is one GST, everyone is adoring.
A family in Beawar, Pali district of Rajasthan has named their newborn baby on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday as 'GST'. The Unusual name coincides with the launch of Goods and Service Tax in the central hall of parliament by President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The photograph of the baby surrounded by mother and relatives in traditional Rajasthani clothes is shared across platforms on social media. People are sending congratulatory messages and blessing bouquets for the new born baby. On Sunday Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje also blessed the baby on her twitter handle. Raje retweeted the picture of the baby and wrote 'Long live &a healthy, baby GST'.
