Sources also added that the Mahant had participated in the 'Janmashtami' celebrations at the Shrikrishna Janmabhumi on Wednesday evening. Several seers and other office bearers of the Trust had also taken part in the celebrations. He was staying at an 'ashram' in Mathura.

Adityanath spoke to the Mahant and the doctors and directed them to provide the best possible medical care. Das was likely to be shifted to a private super speciality hospital in Gurgaon. ''The Mahant is stable....he has mild fever and cough,'' the doctor who attended to him in Mathura, said.
