The reports of underworld don Ravi Pujari's arrest has kindled the hopes of even Kerala police of solving the sensational daylight shooting at a beauty parlour in Kochi, about two months ago.

The Kerala Police have already received vital information about Ravi Pujari's involvement in the firing at Nail Artistry, a beauty parlour run by Leena Maria Paul. The daylight firing incident in a busy area of Kochi had shocked the state. No one was injured in the incident.

Some aides of Pujari held by the Karnataka police were learnt to have given information about Pujari’s links to the incident.

Phone calls

Moreover, some local news channels in Kerala received phone calls from a person, who claimed to be Pujari and owned up the firing at the beauty parlour. The unidentified shooters at the beauty parlour also left a slip with Pujari's name. Leena Maria, who earlier faced allegations of financial fraud, alleged that Pujari demanded Rs 25 crore from her.

The Kerala Police hope to explore the possibility of extracting information on the case pending against Pujari here, sources said.
