Delhiites Monday once again turned out in good numbers to vote at two different polling stations of Delhi Cantt and Rohtash Nagar assembly constituencies, where re-polling was ordered after the recommendation of election observers.

The re-polling at both the stations went off peacefully, an official told IANS.Delhi Cantt polling station recorded 69.68 percent voting, whereas 66.19 percent votes were polled in Rohtash Nagar polling station, he said adding that everything "went off well".

"People came out to vote in good numbers," he said. All arrangements were made to ensure smooth polling at both the stations.

"The Election Commission (EC) had ordered re-polling at two places - Delhi Cantt and Gokulpur - of these constituencies after going through reports of the observers," he said adding that there were reports of EVMs not working properly in these areas.

The voters and the concerned officials were informed before hand and all arrangements were also made in time, he said.

The results of the re-polling will also be announced Tuesday along with the results of other constituencies, he said.

The Delhi assembly election Saturday saw a voter turnout of 67.14 percent.
