A US Embassy statement said Roemar’s decision to resign was based on “personal, professional and family considerations”. But Roemer, describing the Indian government’s decision as “disappointing”, said the US was reviewing the documents it has received from India.
“We are reviewing the documents received from the Government of India and are respectful of the procurement process. We are, however, deeply disappointed by this news,” the Ambassador said.
