The ruling Congress in Assam has more trouble up its sleeve with All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) president Mulana Badruddin Ajmal filing a Rs 125 crore defamation case against state Congress chief Anjan Dutta for falsely accusing him of accepting Rs 150 cr bribe from the BJP for a ‘secret understanding’.

AIUDF is the main Opposition party in the Assam Legislative Assembly. "Today our party President Ajmal has registered a Rs 125 crore defamation case against Anjan Dutta in the court of Civil Judge No 1 of Kamrup Metropolitan district," said AIUDF secretary Haidar Hussain Bora in a statement.

According to the complaint filed against Dutta, Ajmal has accused that the former had publicly said without any proof that he accepted the whopping sum from the BJP in a secret understanding between AIUDF and the BJP.
