Sadhu Yadav gets bail

Accompanied by his lawyers, Yadav, brother-in-law of RJD chief Lalu Prasad, surrendered before the court of Judicial Magistrate Rajiv Ranjan who granted him bail after he furnished a bail bond of Rs 10,000 with two sureties of like amount.

Yadav has been charged with obstructing official work and abusing and misbehaving with state Transport Secretary N K Sinha to pressurise him to concede his case for transfer of an employee, Sitaram Paswan, on January 29, 2001.

The court had issued the non-bailable warrant against Yadav, who is currently in Congress, following his successive failures to appear before it in the past.

The FIR had been registered against Yadav with Gardanibagh police station in Patna on January 29, 2011.
