Daily Express reported that sacks of potatoes and onions were donated as fodder by an overstocked company. It, however, ended up on the platter of visitors at Woburn Safari Park in Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire.

Central Bedfordshire County Council was alerted about it by a customer.
“I have been told only potatoes and onions were used, presumably as these items were not suitable for animal feed,” Council officer Sally Goodchild was quoted as saying.

A Woburn spokesperson said it was a “one-off” incident and added: “At no point was there a risk to food safety.”
