In a shocking incident, a six-year old  first standard student at a residential school in Uttar Pradesh’s Etawah district was allegedly thrashed to death by his senior for reciting the tables wrong.

The accused, a student of 12th standard, identified as Subodh Kumar, was arrested by the police on Saturday and sent to jail.

According to the police sources here, Kumar had asked the first standard student Brahma Kumar to recite the table of three on Thursday night.  Bramha, however, could not recite the table correctly.

An angry Subodh  reportedly told the child that he would not be allowed to go to bed until he recited the table correctly. As Brahma insisted on going to bed, an angry Subodh allegedly banged the child’s head against wall repeatedly following which Brahma lost consciousness, sources said.
