Minister for Road Transport and Highways C P Joshi will interact live with common people using a social networking site to get their suggestions on highway safety.

“For the first time, we are giving an opportunity to the common people to talk to the minister live for sharing their suggestions on highway safety using Google Plus Hangout,” Joshi said at a press conference here.

Public views will be incorporated in the measures that will be taken up by the Ministry on road safety in future days, he added.

The first interaction using Google Plus Hangout would take place on March 29 at 19:30 hrs.

Experimental basis

Initially, it will be on experimental basis and based on its success, it will be made a routine exercise, he said.

At present, the Ministry uses various online media platforms like Twitter, YouTube and Google Plus to get the views of common people on how to ensure safety on highways.
