Shinde to visit border areas

Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde will follow Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi’s visit to the Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab on Saturday to review security along the Indo-Pak border.

Gandhi, who took a delegation of corporate leaders, concluded his trip on Friday.
During his two-day tour, Shinde will visit forward border guarding posts in Leh, Kargil in J&K and Attari-Wagah border in Punjab to interact with jawans and officers posted to man the fence.

Ministry sources said that he will fly to Kargil first and then to Leh on Saturday take a night halt and move to Punjab the following day.
