A Madurai-bound Spice Jet, with 62 passengers onboard, which had left here after a delay of 30-minutes, at around 1820 hrs, returned after developing a technical problem, they said.
All the passengers were immediately evacuated and would be accommodated in another flight to Madurai later. Earlier, a Coimbatore-Ahmedabad flight with 50 passengers made an unscheduled landing at Chennai Airport after it developed a "technical error".
Officials said the flight landed here after pilots detected the error. "The passengers would be accommodated in another flight to Ahmedabad later," they said.
