In a fresh turn of events in the Snoopgate controversy, suspended IAS officer Pradip Shrama tried filing a criminal complaint against the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in Gandhinagar on Monday.

Sharma later told the media that he had come to Gandhinagar to file a complaint against Modi and his confidant Amit Shah, along with an IPS officer, responsible for the alleged “illegal surveillance” on him, which was revealed by two news portals earlier.

Sharma said his complaints were not entertained by police. He said if the police did not register his complaint, he would approach courts. The police maintained that the matter was sub-judice and two inquiry commissions were already set up, one by the state government and another by the Centre.
