A bakery in Tamil Nadu paid a unique tribute to late industrialist Ratan Tata with a 7-foot ice cake of him with his dog, Tito. Placed outside Aishwarya bakery, the statue has captured the hearts of millions.
The bakery is known for its annual Christmas tradition of creating ice cakes of renowned personalities. Previously, the bakery had paid tributes to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam and football legend Diego Maradona.
The latest one comes shortly after the passing of Ratan Tata in 9 October, 2024. The cake features Ratan Tata in a blue shirt and grey trousers along with a German Shepard holding a ball in his mouth, shaking Tata's hand. Tata is known for his love for dogs.
250 eggs and 60 kgs of sugar were used to make the statue. The cake has intricate designs and life-like details according to a report by India Today. Many posed for selfies in front of the cake.
Several reacted to the video shared on social media. One user commented, “Nice tribute but doggo looks flabbergasted.” Another user said, “Good job but who will eat this huge cake?”
The 50th Annual Cake Show at Bengaluru’s Palace Grounds also featured spectacular tribute cake honouring Ratan Tata.
