The victim gave birth to the child on Sunday night, DSP Gurmeet Singh said.
The teenager was abducted on October 25 last year by Sonu and three of his friends in a jeep here and taken to Rajasthan where she was held captive for two months and repeatedly raped by the accused. The victim’s father reported the incident to the police only on February 26 this year, four months after her abduction, by when she had become pregnant.
Sonu was arrested and a local court remanded him in judicial custody. Though the court had directed the police to ensure the abortion of the pregnancy, doctors had refused to do so as she was seven months pregnant.
