Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has taken to occult rituals to overcome the political challenges currently he is faced with.

CM Rao will be performing the Ayutha Chandi Yaga with 1000 priests praying non-stop for 10 days at his farmhouse in Medak, a report in the Times of India adds.

It is believed that the Yaga used to be performed by ancient rulers to overpower their enemies. The report says that KCR is being driven by concerns about the failure of his populist schemes.

However, some sources maintain that the reason for this ritual is not for personal gains but for the prosperity of the state of Telangana.
