The objectives and mission of Cyber Rakshak program is to channelize the energy of students towards spreading awareness about digital safety, transforming them into powerful and responsible agents in the society.

Swathi Lakra, IG police incharge of women safety, said that the programme is aimed at making digital safety information and tools accessible to all, reducing victims of cyber crimes and de-addiction support for digital addicts.

“The mission of Cyber Rakshak program is “Advocacy on Digital Safety” with the four major pillars of advocacy being Cyber Bullying, Digital Addiction, Online Safety and Fake News,” she said.

Participation in this program is completely voluntary and does not entail any monetary benefits. However, Cyber Rakshaks gain immensely through networking and society connects.

Cyber Rakshaks also get the opportunity of mentoring the next batch of Cyber Rakshaks in order to ensure sustainability and continuity of the initiatives and in the process, develop their leadership skills.

The entire Cyber Rakshak experience grooms their overall personality.
