With the Border Security Force (BSF) detecting an under-construction tunnel on the Indo-Pak border, a possible terrorist infiltration bid has been foiled.

During an anti-tunnel exercise on Monday night, security personnel detected the tunnel dug from the Pakistani side that extended up to a distance of 20 metres ahead of the fence on the international border.

On Monday, the BSF team was conducting an "in-depth scanning of the area" in Ramgarh Sector of Samba district when they found the tunnel ahead of the fence in the Indian territory. “The tunnel’s origin is found to be from the Pakistan territory and ending at a distance of around 20 metres ahead of the fence,” the BSF statement said.
