Centre's seven-member high-level committee formed to oversee transparency and look into the functioning of the National Testing Agency (NTA) to meet today, reports ANI citing sources.
The CBI on Sunday took over the probe into alleged irregularities in the medical entrance exam NEET-UG following a reference from the Union education ministry, while the National Testing Agency cracked the whip against more students as it debarred 17 from centres in Bihar after detection of "malpractices".

A CBI team is expected to visit Patna on Monday and may take those arrested in the NEET-UG paper leak case to Delhi for questioning, officials said.

Himanshu Solanki, Panchamahal SP said that the procedures to handover the investigation (to CBI) are going on. "Whatever support they require, we are giving them...CBI is conducting the investigation," he told ANI.
The CBI team reached Godhra earlier today to probe irregularities in the NEET exam.
"The government has nothing to hide...The government has taken this issue very seriously. Investigation agencies are conducting investigations. For the welfare of students, the decision will be taken shortly...The culprits will not be spared."

Yadav also said that he will demand the formation of a Joint Parliamentary Committee to look into the matter. "Special status to Bihar, special package would be my priority," the Purnea MP told PTI.
