The incident occurred on Thursday night when the girl was returning after her day’s work and was offered lift by the two youth on the outskirts of Palampur, around 140 km from Shimla, Kangra SP Atul Fulzale told reporters here.
According to the FIR, the youth first molested her in the moving vehicle and when the cab reached a secluded area, they dragged her out and raped her repeatedly, the police said.
The SP said the girl has been admitted to a civil hospital where she underwent a medical examination.
The British Embassy has been informed of the incident, the SP said adding that three police teams have been constituted to nab the culprits.
