According to the reports, the man, identified as Salman, who worked as a laborer, had prepared three videos purportedly expressing his agony and dejection over his wife’s alleged elopement with her lover and shared them with his parents and sisters two days ago.

Salman’s wife had allegedly eloped with her lover a few days back.

In the videos, Salman, with tears in his eyes, was heard saying that he was left with no option but to end his life. ‘’We will all be dead,’’, Salman is heard telling his 12-year daughter Mahek, in one of the videos.

Reports said that Salman reached the Yamuna bridge on Friday with his four children ( aged between 3 and 12). He then made a video saying that his wife was responsible for his and their children’s death.

A little later Salman jumped into the swollen river with his four children. The eye witnesses said that he appeared to be upset and was crying.

Salman’s sister Gulistan said that she launched a search for him and the kids after they did not return home and that she came to know on Saturday that he had jumped into the river with the kids.

Divers were pressed into service to trace them but they were yet to be traced. The search is going on, the officials said.
