A temple after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been built in Ayodhya,
The temple, which has an idol of Adityanath, was built at Majre Maurya Ka Purwa in Kalyan Bhadarsa village, barely 20 kilometres from the place where the Ram Temple was being constructed by one Prabhakar Maurya, a resident of the same village.
Maurya, who dressed like Adityanath, said that the foundation stone of the Temple after the UP CM, who was also the 'mahant' * (religious head) of the famous Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur, had been laid on the day the 'Bhoomi Pujan' (a ritual before starting the construction work) was undertaken for the Ram Temple on August 5, 2020.
''Regular puja is held in the temple....Aarti (a ritual by fire) is also conducted twice daily at the temple,'' Maurya added. Maurya has also penned 'songs' praising Adityanath.
He said that he was a disciple of Lord Rama and had taken a pledge that he would worship whosoever helped build the Ram Temple at Ayodhya. ''The construction of the Ram Temple started during Adityanath's chief ministership,'' he added.
Reacting to the temple after Adityanath, the seers of Ayodhya said that the feelings of the youth, who built the temple, should be respected. ''Everyone has the right to express their feelings....the Sanatan Dharma allows worship of the saints as Gods,'' said an Ayodhya based seer.
Another seer said that temples after Adityanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi should be built everywhere so that the people could worship them. Adityanath has established himself as a firebrand Hindutva leader within the BJP.
