A satellite phone was found with an American citizen on Tuesday during CISF checking at Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, ANI reported.
Dehradun SP City Pramod Kumar said that after the recovery of the banned satellite phone, a case has been registered against the American citizen, and he has been arrested and will be produced in court today.
The American citizen had come to India on an e-tourist visa and was staying with a friend in Rishikesh.
The satellite phone was seized during CISF checking while boarding a flight to Delhi from Jolly Grant Airport. The American citizen is being questioned by the police and other agencies.
