Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu held a press conference on the occasion of National Doctors' Day. He encouraged the doctors and spoke of their unmatched dedication during the Covid pandemic. He said, “I salute the scientist and doctors who developed the vaccine against Covid-19. Our vaccines are safe and effective. In our culture, doctors are like God, the saviour of life. Medical profession is a mission which must do it with passion.” National Doctor’s Day celebrates on July 1 in every year. This day was established by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) in honour of birth and death anniversary of the physician and second Chief Minister of West Bengal, Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy.
