A new video, that went viral on Sunday, added a twist to the Mumbai towing incident.

In this video, the seven-month-old baby is not inside the car but in the arms of a family member when the towing vehicle began to move the car away.

The infant was moved inside the car later, indicating that the situation could have been averted by the parent.

The mother, Jyoti, however, said: "You must see the video from the camera on top of the towing crane…from start until the end."

In the video that surfaced on Saturday, the woman was sitting in her car with her seven-month-old child when a towing vehicle suddenly picked up and started moving the car away.

She begged and pleaded, but the traffic constable, Shashank Rane, did not budge.

Despite pleas by the person who shot the video, Rane did not relent.

On Sunday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis dubbed the entire episode dangerous and insensitive.

"Very unfortunate. Absolutely insensitive and dangerous to tow the vehicle with a lady and the child inside...Orders have been given to sensitise traffic cops to prevent such incidents," Fadnavis, who also holds the home portfolio, was quoted as saying.
