Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Saturday urged the people of the national capital to wait until early next week for "news" on the water and electricity fronts.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has promised to cut electricity charges by half, and provide 700 litres of water daily to all households in the city.

"By Monday you will get some news," Kejriwal told the media, when he was asked by when his government would act on the election promises.

He added that he would try to shift to Delhi "in two or three days" from Kaushambi adjoining the capital. He said that officials were looking for a suitable accommodation for him.

The activist-turned-politician, who founded the AAP only a year ago, has vowed to crack down on "VIP culture". He has banned the use of red beacons on official cars in Delhi.
