People often think of ticking off adventure stories in their bucket list during their 20s or 30s, but one 80-year-old woman recently soared the skies leaving netizens stunned.

Her skydiving video is now going viral after she took flight from 10,000 feet and dived with remarkable courage. Despite health concerns at her age, she proved that age is just a number.

Identified as Dr Shraddha Chauhan, the elderly woman was assisted by someone special, but who? Her son, none other than Brigadier Saurabh Singh Shekhawat, KC, SC, SM, VSM (Retd).

Brigadier Shekhawat posted the activity reel on Instagram, proudly sharing that her mother embraced skydiving on her 80th birthday. He also pointed out that she is the oldest woman to skydive in India, making the moment even more special.

Skydiving from 10,000 ft

“She marked her 80th birthday with a tandem skydive from 10,000 feet... She is now the oldest Indian woman to do a tandem skydive — and the oldest to do so within India," Shekhawat posted on Instagram.

In his now-viral post, the retired officer mentioned that despite battling vertigo, cervical spondylitis, and prolapsed spinal discs, she took to the skies with immense bravery.

Celebrating her successful skydive, he added, “A mother. A milestone. A moment that soared. Courage knows no age. Love has no altitude.”

The video has won hearts online, gathering over 18,000 likes with many praising the mother-son duo for their courage and inspiring spirit.
