There are many videos on the internet that highlight the conditions in which people travel on trains in India. While sometimes its the crowd that creates buzz, other instances show fights and concerning activities exhibited onboard.

In a recent incident, a female passenger was caught smoking on her berth. When questioned, she unregretfully continued her action and triggered an argument with a co-traveller.

In a video that's going viral on social media, the woman was seen smoking a cigarette inside an AC coach of a train. While smoking is prohibited in trains, she didn't adhere to the rule.

When another passenger seated in the same bay raised concerns over her act and started filming her wrongdoing, she got furious. She slammed him and said, "Main tumhare paiso ka nahi phukri hoon (I’m not smoking with your money)."

She then asked him delete the video. However, the woman didn't apologise or throw the cigarette when others objected it.

The video was reportedly posted online by an X user who tagged the Railway Ministry to look into the matter.

As the video drew attention, the railways addressed the incident. In a reply, Railway Seva mentioned the video was forwarded to concerned officials for necessary action. The train route on which the incident occurred is not reported yet.

A social media user commented, "Public transport is a shared space not your private space.. What about other passengers health and comfort."

Another wrote, "Rules are rules—smoking in a train compartment is a no-go, regardless of gender. Using the 'women's card' to get out of accountability just shows how some people try to dodge responsibility."
