The two base jumping enthusiasts, Nasser Al Neyadi and Omar Alhegelan, descended 672 metre from a platform near the top of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.The distance was covered with 10 seconds of free fall followed by a 30-40 second parachute flight. Both jumpers landed safely.
Nasser is the 2007 Accuracy Sky Diving UAE national champion and Omar has previously jumped from the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur.
The pair previously set another world record by jumping from 29,500ft on Mount Everest.
