Bio-diversity park to be set up in Panhala, says Kadam

Addressing a national conference on bio-diversity he said it is becoming more and more important for sustainable development and environment protection.

In this background, a bio-diversity Park will be developed at Panhala, he said adding percentage of forest in the state will be increased from 27 to 33. He was addressing the concluding ceremony of the conference organised by Indian Women Scientists Association and Gopal Krishna Gokhale College. For protection of tigers, the minister said Maharashtra government has recently published a notification of Chandoli Tiger Project which is fourth such project in the state.
