On January 19, 2017, the Bengaluru bench of the Debt Recovery Tribunal passed an order allowing a consortium of 13 banks led by SBI to recover worldwide more than Rs 9,000 crore from industrialist Vijay Mallya. He then moved the England and Wales High Court against the order of the DRT. The court gave the order in favour of the DRT. For the full text of the UK court’s judgement, check:
