Abhinav Manohar slammed a ton to propel Bangalore Zone to a healthy total against Mofussil XI on day one of their KSCA (U-23) SA Srinivasan memorial tie here at the Aditya Global ground on Friday.
Abhinav struck a pacy 136 (132b), which included 16 fours and six hits over the fence, while Mashooq Hussain made 78 as Bangalore reached 329/8 in 85 overs at stumps. Rajat Hegde (26 n.o.) and Deepesh Poonia (9) will resume Bangalore’s innings on Saturday. Sheetal Kumar (3/62) and SK Nikin Jose (2/28) were the pick of the bowlers for Moffusil.
In another tie at BGS ground, Arjun SP’s patient 130 (203b, 14x4) guided Combined City XI to 315 all out in 89.1 overs. Shimon Luiz (4/98) led President’s XI’s bowling charge while Lochan Appanna (3/55) dazzled with a three-wicket haul. Presidents were 59/1 in eight overs at stumps.
