PPC relying heavily on their point guard Faizal (23) and shooting guard Niketh (9) jumped to a 22-19 lead at half-time, despite their obvious lack of good defence.

Vinay (22) and Praful, turned the tide around for Bharath SU in the third quarter with an awe inspiring peformance to chalk up 12 consecutive points for the lead. PPC rallied to catch up with their opponents with the likes of Faizal and Chetan (8) coming into their own but Bharath SU held their fort steady in the dying minutes of the match and managed to score some crucial points on the other end to notch up a win.

In another match of the day, YFBC defeated Mounts Club 28-18. Rajesh top scored for YFBC with 12 points.

Sports School girls trounced CJC 34-2. Supriya (6) and Harshitha (7) were the main scorers for Sports School who lead 21-1 at half-time.

However, Jayanagar Sports Club had to ward off a stiff challenge from Rajmahal before prevailing 24-13.
