Choudhry Charan Singh University, Meerut, bagged the team championship title in the men’s freestyle event with 55 points on the final day of the All India inter-university wrestling championships here on Friday.
Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak, bagged the men’s Greco-Roman and women’s freestyle team championship titles with 59 and 76 points respectively.
In the men’s upto 125kg freestyle final, Devrath Chaudhry of Meerut overpowered N Santosh from Aurangabad.

Greco-Roman: Upto 130kg: Final: Sonu (MDU, Rohtak) bt Gyaninder (Meerut) 8-0. Third Place: Husan Pal Singh (Patiala) & Simar Thapal Singh (Amristar). Semifinals: Gyaninder bt Gaurav Ramesh (SPP, Pune) 13-3, Sonu bt Simer Phepal Singh (Amristar) 8-2.
Women: Up to 75kg freestyle: Final: Pooja (MDU, Rohtak) bt Sukpal Kaur (Punjab University, Chandigarh) by fall. Third Place: Manu Thomar (Meerut) & Anju Mol Joseph (Kottayam).
Semifinals: Pooja bt Manu Thomar (Meerut) 6-0, Sukpal Kaur (Punjab University, Chandigarh) bt Anju Mol Joseph (Kottayam) 6-2.
